A 20 per cent increase in sales of the Hope in Shadows calendar this year means not only will it likely sell out a record number before the New Year, but it will help more people in Vancouver's Downto

- Hope and Shadows is on to its ninth annual photo contest and calendar, starting in October 2003.

- 200- plus people entered the 2011 photo contest.

Over the next few months you might see Hope in Shadows vendors sporting new rain-proof bags, warm toques and large blue umbrellas.
